A survey by AMC Global explains that consumer dining behavior has changed, but those who have always enjoyed the dining out experience will continue to do so. The study has suggested that the restaurant industry has had to adapt–and we at Kevin’s couldn’t agree more.

Key findings explain that 38% of consumers say they will support local businesses more in the future, but they have some key needs that need to be addressed.

Now more than ever, customers to local dining establishments want to be reassured that dining out is safe. And the restaurant industry has listened.

Key wants for customers include:

• Safety and sanitation
• Clear communication on restrictions
• Convenience in options
• Comfort foods

While this may seem like the same rules as before, customers are now more aware of how they want things done to feel safe while eating out. This includes sanitation between customers, open communication on steps being taken on safety and sanitation, and knowledge of any restrictions in place including the need for reservations.

In addition, though customers are ready to dine out in the physical location again, now more than ever, customers don’t mind bringing the experience home and sharing it with the family. That includes offering more comfort-based foods as well as more classic dining.

All of us at Kevin’s Bar & Restaurant are so happy to be back serving NEPA. We have taken many safety precautions, including the addition of Air Scrubbers to our building’s filtration system and added additional sanitizing measures. Because we know that these times are changing regularly, we’ve also added more outdoor seating so al fresco has never been safer yet relaxing.
